Mark Gaughan, MD, FAAD
Dr. Mark Gaughan was trained in Dermatology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine under Dr. R. Steven Padilla and Dr. E. Ben Smith. He is trained in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and laser surgery. Dr. Gaughan joined his father in practice at Durango Dermatology in 2001. Special interests include treatment of skin cancer, laser surgery, Mohs surgery, and treatment of aging skin.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Gaughan was a helicopter pilot in the Army flying UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters at Ft. Bragg, NC. He also served in Operation Desert Storm as a medical evacuation pilot and later served as the flight surgeon for the New Mexico Army National Guard and retired after over 20 years of service.
Dr. Mark Gaughan is a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Additionally, he is a member of the American Medical Society, Colorado Medical Society, Colorado Dermatology Society, and the New Mexico Dermatology Society.
Raised in Durango, Colorado Mark enjoys the many activities and resources Durango offers.
Michelle Goedken, DO, FAAD
Dr. Goedken joined Durango Dermatology in July of 2016 and is a board certified dermatologist. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical science at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan. Dr. Goedken earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. While completing her medical degree, Dr. Goedken also earned a masters degree in Anatomy from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. Following graduation, Dr. Goedken completed a traditional internship at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio and Dermatology Residency at Affiliated Dermatology in Scottsdale Arizona. Professional memberships include the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, and Sigma Sigma Phi medical honor society.
Dr. Goedken enjoys seeing patients of all ages as well as patient education. In her spare time Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, running, hiking and biking.
Scott Wickless, DO, MBA, FAAD
Dr. Scott C. Wickless received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Subsequently, he received his medical degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and a master's degree in business administration from SMU Cox School of Business. Dr. Wickless completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital and his Dermatology residency at Michigan State University. He then completed fellowship training in Dermatopathology and Cutaneous Oncology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Being board-certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology, Dr. Wickless specializes in medical dermatology, skin cancer, and interpretation of skin biopsies. His dual certification allows better integration of clinical information with microscopic observations for the treating physician. He is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, International Society of Dermatopathology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Wickless has authored multiple abstracts, textbooks and peer reviewed journal articles, and he currently serves on multiple peer-review teams. He previously served as clinical faculty at Northwestern University, Loyola University and UT Southwestern.
In his free time, Scott enjoys the outdoors, film and travel. He is an avid skier and cyclist.
Kristin Pogue, MPAS, PA-C
Kristin Pogue is a board certified physician assistant. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. She joined the practice in 2006 after completing her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Texas Medical Branch. During her training, she began to focus on dermatology by completing rotations and reasearch in the Dermatology Department at UTMB and performing additional clinical work at other university and private dermatology practices. Kristin's special interests are skin cancer prevention and education.
Kristin Pogue is a diplomate in the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the New Mexico Dermatology Society.
Since moving to Durango, Kristin has avidly pursued her passion for the outdoors with mountain biking, trail running, nordic skiing, and gardening.
Jenna Black, RN, CANS
Jenna Black, RN joined Durango Dermatology in 2015 as a cosmetic nurse. She is a graduate of Fort Lewis College and pursued a career in Nursing, attaining her Registered Nursing License in 2013. Jenna believes in the importance of patient education and values the science behind her treatments. Her experience in women's health nursing allows her to treat her patients with understanding and compassion and feels the best treatment is one that leaves you feeling refreshed and confident.
Robyn Chapman, BSN, RN, CANS
Robyn grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1990 from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She practiced 17 years with Cardiac Surgical patients then moved into aesthetic nursing. Since 2007, she has been an injector and a laser specialist at a Dermatology practice in Knoxville, TN. In 2016, she and her family moved to Durango. Robyn increased her knowledge and expertise by receiving her National Certification as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) in 2014. She has a passion for caring and listening to her patients in order to meet their concerns and enhance their natural beauty. She uses her aesthetic eye and skill to make her patients smile and feel good about themselves.
Robyn has been married 26 years and raised her 2 daughters in Knoxville, TN. She loves caring for her family and 3 dogs, and is also embracing all the beauty and outdoor activities of Durango.
