Telehealth

As a safety measure, we will be offering virtual visits, for certain appointment types, in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Below is information and instructions on our telehealth visits. 

Call Durango Dermatology

Call to Schedule: 

Please call our office to see if a telehealth visit is right for you. If a provider determines that a telehealth visit works, our front desk will schedule an appointment for you. 

Telehealth appointments are currently available on iPhones, iPads, and desktop computers. Once your appointment is made, please follow the instructions below based on what technology you will use during your appointment.


Telehealth instructions for iPhone/iPad users

Dermatology telehealth visit email Receive Email (will receive before appointment):

Once your telehealth appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email with login instructions and a link to set up your information BEFORE your appointment.

 

Telehealth app

Download PocketPatient App (please do before appointment): 

Follow the instructions in the email and click on the link provided. This will take you to the app store to download the PocketPatient app.

 

Telehealth visit app

 Login to PocketPatient App (please do before appointment):

Once you download the PocketPatient app, return to the email and click on the link again. This will launch the app and direct you to Durango Dermatology visits. 

Login to the app with your username provided in the email. Your password will be the same as what you use to login to your patient portal for Durango Dermatology. If you have questions about your password, please contact our office.

 

Join Durango Dermatology telehealth appointment

 Join your Appointment Call:

At your scheduled appointment time, you will receive another email letting you know that the provider is ready for your appointment. Login to the PocketPatient app and click on the "Join Video Visit" button.

Once you do that, your appointment will begin and you should be able to see your provider on the screen.


Telehealth instructions for desktop users

Receive Email (will receive before appointment):

Once your telehealth appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email that will include your username information to login to the appointment. Please note that if you are using your computer for the appointment, your username is the only information from this email that you will need.

Download Google Chrome (please do before appointment):

The appointments work best on Google Chrome, therefore, we ask that you please download this to your computer before your appointment. Below are links to download Google Chrome.

Login to Patient Portal (please do before appointment):

To make sure you are able to do so before your appointment starts, please take the time to login to the patient portal. You can access the patient portal here.

Join your Appointment Call:
  1. At your scheduled appointment time, you will receive another email letting you know that the provider is ready for your appointment. 
  2. Login to the patient portal here.
  3. Click on the "Join Video Visit" button.
  4. Once you do that, your appointment will begin and you should be able to see your provider on the screen.
