Fraxel laser treatment produces thousands of small but deep columns of treatment in your skin, known as microthermal treatment zones. This treatment eliminates old epidermal pigmented cells. It also penetrates deep into the dermis. Fraxel laser leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected and intact. This 'fractional' treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tighter tissue to replace skin imperfections.
Each Fraxel laser treatment targets between 20 and 25 percent of the skin's surface. Clinical studies suggest that on average, an effective treatment regimen is 3 to 5 sessions, spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart. Results are immediate and progressive. Optimal improvement is usually visible in about 2 to 3 months. Because Fraxel laser treatment spares healthy tissue, it is effective even on delicate skin areas, such as the neck, chest and hands. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. The best candidates are patients between the ages of 18 and 65 years old. It works by blocking nerve impulses, which reduces the movement of those particular muscles. With less movement, the skin surface gradually smoothes out and the frown lines begin to fade.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a short and minimally invasive treatment that requires no downtime. During treatment, very low doses of BOTOX® Cosmetic are administered by way of small injections directly into the muscles that cause the frown lines between the brows.
Discomfort is minimal and brief. Initial redness may occur near the injection sites. However, patients may return to their normal activities immediately following the treatment. Although individual results may vary, you can expect to see results just days after the treatment and the appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to one week. In fact, 89% of patients judged the appearance of their frown lines as improved one month after the treatment. The effect of each treatment may last up to four months. After this time, another treatment may be necessary.

Laser resurfacing is performed with a CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser that emits a succession of extremely short and focused pulses. In this way, very thin layers of skin can be removed one at a time. With multiple passes, relatively deep wrinkles and scars can be eliminated. This requires skill on the part of the surgeon.
We perform this procedure under local, tumescent, anesthesia without sedation. Following the treatment, the patient must adhere to a strict schedule of wound care and sun avoidance for 7 to 9 days. [top]

Microdermabrasion consists of superficially abrading the skin with fine, sharp crystals and a vacuum closed-loop suction device to remove the crystals, along with dead skin, oil, and surface debris. The treatment exerts affects on the epidermis, the outermost layer of skin. This creates an exfoliating effect that removes superficial skin layers and improves clogged pores and overall skin texture.
We use microdermabrasion for mild facial wrinkles, clogged pores, brown spots, melasma and to improve skin texture. Results are generally more subtle than other treatment modalities but the procedure has fewer side effects and no downtime. It is safe for use in all skin types. [top]

One major advantage of these agents is that they are totally non-allergenic. Between 2 and 6 treatments are necessary to treat both legs and thighs. There is no downtime, although support hose have to be worn for 3 to 5 days following the procedure. There is very little pain involved. [top]

The V-Beam® pulsed dye laser sprays a cooling spray on the surface of the skin to cool and pretect the epidermis. Because the laser is targeting blood vessels, a common potential side effect is bruising.
